Sort before you pack
Donate duplicates, recycle old notes and avoid paying to store inexpensive items you can replace easily. Keep passports, laptops and anything needed during the break with you.
Choose strong, consistent boxes
Similar-sized boxes stack safely and use a small unit efficiently. Label each side, not just the top, and photograph the finished stack so you can remember where things are.
Share space carefully
If friends rent together, agree who is named on the account, how access works and how costs are divided. Mark each person’s boxes clearly and leave an aisle so no one has to unpack the whole unit.
